A Look Ahead: Paris Fashion Week and the House of Celine

It has been almost a complete year since darkness fell upon Les Invalides signaling the reveral of Paris’ most anticipated collection...Celine.

Although it marked the third season since Hedi Slimane took over the helm at Celine, his shows have become increasingly more fervent each season. Now, as we embark on Fall/Winter 2021, the world waits expectantly, once again, to see what Slimane will reveal this season...much to the dismay of those pesky ‘Philophiles’, (coined after the brand’s last Creative Director, Phoebe Philo).

Celine’s ethos under Philo’s ten-year tenure can be identified as sophisticated albeit roomier silhouettes, while Slimane’s vision for Celine materializes in an indie-rock youthfulness with a cool, comfortable aesthetic that’s much more fluid in design.

If LMVH’s master plan was to propel the brand to new heights under Slimane’s maestro attentiveness, it has worked magnificently, leaving Celine’s audience craving more.
